Greg Lui Saxophonist - Born: December 21, 1980 in Hong Kong
- 1993 - 1995: Studied classical violin
- 1995: Moved to Vancouver, Canada
- Pre-university education: Port Moody Secondary
- 1995: Studied classical piano, clarinet, and music theory
- 1996: First exposed to improvised music after seeing the Miles Davis Quintet on television and was inspired to study the saxophone and the Jazz art form
- 1997: Obtained RCM certificates for Grade 6 violin and Grade 8 piano
- 1997 - 1999: Played with the Port Moody High Concert Band, Port Moody High Jazz Ensemble, Port Moody Community Concert Band, Port Moody Inlet Big Band, and a Jazz quintet formed with classmates
- Post-secondary education: University of British Columbia (1999 - 2004), graduated with a BASMEN (combined Bachelor of Applied Science and Master of Engineering) in Electro-Mechanical Engineering
- 1999 - 2002: Played with the UBC Jazz Emsemble directed by Fred Stride
- 2002: Studied privately with master saxophonist and former Capilano College professor Stan Karp
- 2003: Studied privately with Vancouver Jazz piano virtuoso Bob Murphy
- 2004 - present: Continuing the search for a personal approach to Jazz improvisation and music composition
- Currently a part time saxophone and clarinet instructor at Tom Lee Music Canada
